The central block of the present hotel building serves our guests from 1915, the name of the former Imperial Hotel is preserved by one of the function rooms. After its reopening in 1985, the Best Western Hotel Hungaria was modernised several times.
The Best Western Hotel Hungaria is the patron of modern Hungarian art: the majority of the works of art were ordered by the hotel, thus the artists were inspired by the place of their display. The most famous of the thirty artists are the renowned sculptors Miklos Melocco, Pal Ko and Péter Vladimir, Zsuzsa Pereli whose tapestries are known all over the world and Attila Zsigmond, Gyorgy Puiz and Barna Bardocz reputable masters of applied arts.

Budapest, lying on both banks of the Danube, is a city which offers many historical and cultural sights.
The two banks of the Danube from Margaret Island to Gellert Hill, the Buda Castle Quarter, the Andrássy út and its historical environment are all the part of the World Heritage.
Some of the outstanding buildings are the Opera House, the Ballet Institute, and the Music Academy. Under the street there is the Millenium Underground Railway, which was the first on the continent. Andrássy út leads to Heroes’ Square. The statues of outstanding Hungarian rulers and leaders stand in the semicircular colonnade. On the two sides of the square there are the Museum of Fine Arts and the Art Gallery.

It was a wonderful experience to walk over the Chain Bridge and to admire some interesting views of the lightened Buda Castle, the Gellert Hill and the Liberty Statue.
